If you’re trying to eat high-protein but still want something that feels like a real meal—not just chicken and rice—this is it.
This pizza swaps traditional dough for a seasoned chicken crust that’s crispy on the edges, soft in the middle, and loaded with flavor. Then we layer it with bacon, creamy ricotta, and sharp red onion for that perfect balance of savory, salty, and slightly sweet.
It’s simple, satisfying, and doesn’t feel like a compromise.
🍕 Ingredients
Chicken Crust
1 lb ground chicken (lean or extra lean)
1/3 cup grated parmesan
1 large egg
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
Toppings
1/3–1/2 cup pizza sauce (low sugar if preferred)
3/4 cup shredded mozzarella
1/3 cup ricotta cheese
3–4 slices cooked bacon, chopped
1/4 small red onion, thinly sliced
Optional: chili flakes, fresh basil, drizzle of hot honey
🔥 Instructions
1. Preheat & Prep
Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C)
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper
2. Make the Crust
In a bowl, mix ground chicken, parmesan, egg, and seasonings
Spread mixture into a thin, even circle (about 1/4 inch thick)
👉 Pro tip: Slightly wet your hands so it doesn’t stick
3. Bake the Crust First
Bake for 15–18 minutes
Edges should be golden and the center set
This step is key—don’t rush it or it’ll be soft.
4. Add Toppings
Spread pizza sauce evenly
Add mozzarella
Drop small spoonfuls of ricotta across the top
Sprinkle bacon and red onion
5. Finish Baking
Return to oven for 8–10 minutes
Broil for 1–2 minutes at the end for that golden top
✨ Optional Finishes (Highly Recommend)
Fresh basil after baking
Chili flakes for a little kick
Light drizzle of hot honey for that sweet-salty combo
